Artist's Statement
Magnified images of plant-life that expose the fascinating patterns within its growth have inspired me to investigate the simplest of shapes; to structure abstract forms that suggest our natural world. Flimsy rings or discs of pure white porcelain or porcelain paper-clay form the components; the building blocks for these objects that I build and grow. I hope to encourage those childlike moments of wonder – the visual and tactile joy of the simplest things that surround us.
